....did you have it with subsequent pregnancies?

Are some people just more 'prone' to it than others? And why do some poeple not get it at all?

It all just seems quite random really, so I'm wondering if there's any pattern to it. How does it work, and what determines whether you get it or not?

This is the link. There is loads of useful stuff on here and advice for people who are planning a preg after having suffered HG in previous pregnancies.

Don't know how HG is diagnosed, but in my first pregnancy I lost a stone in weight, was permenantly dehydrated, and had large ketones in my urine, and damaged my oesophagus until it bled by vomiting. Hyperemisis wasn't diagnosed, I was told it was just morning sickness.

Forunately my scond pregnancy with dd2 wasn't so bad (although I still lost some weight), and my pregnacy with ds was by far the best - nausea all the way through but not much vomiting.
