Arghh, I'm 34 weeks now and STILL have nothing sorted! Is this common in 3rd pregnancies?? I feel bad but just cannot be bothered!!...

With my first two I had my hospital bag packed at 20 weeks

Even after being admitted to hospital on Tuesday and thinking 'oh shite what if she comes and nothings done?!' Ive gotten home and still made no attempts to even make a list!

This poor baby!

I need to do my hospital bag... not just pack it but buy everything for it

I need to get my birth pool out of the attic and check it and see if i need to order any replacement bits!!

I need to get her room finished (has become the christmas present dumping ground)

and a million other things besides!!

I was 34 weeks last Friday with dc3 - on Saturday I went and bought maternity pads etc. So although I have bought the stuff I need I haven't actually done anything with it!

I think I'm crap too!

Perhaps, living with a false sense of security as I don't have to actually buy anything.

Did get dp to go in the loft and get moses basket out etc this week.

I think this goes with having a third child - you're not so neurotic as you were with the others.

I didn't buy anything until 38 weeks with ds3. Packed my bags the day before i was due - luckily as gave birth on due date.

totally normal. We had given away our Moses basket so had to buy a new one - DH bought it the day we brought DD2 home from hospital. I had a c - section at 38 weeks so that focussed the mind in terms of the hospital bag at least (packed the night before )

I was the same with my third baby by the way. The car seat and bouncy chair were delivered at about 39 weeks and we didn't get round to working out how the car seat went in the car until I was having contractions every three minutes! I had to send dh to by maternity pads the day she was born as in a moment of utter stupidity I'd only bought one packet!! One packet - what was I thinking?? I did order my pram well in advance but that was only because I was hugely excited about it

Well. I bought my hospital bag stuff, all from tescos! PMSL. Just threw it in with the shopping.

DH has just got bag out of the attic and the birthpool, so need to clean that.

Am starting to get more organised.

i think with my first i had packed my hospital back really early and then unpack, recheck, pack, fiddle with the little hats and babygros...i had got those cute little petit bateau crossover ones and then put them on my tummy, fidlle, unpack. all very exciting. no2. was about 4 wks before due date, i think cause at that point they can come anytime...is that true?. with dc 3 it will probably be a few days before due date, a few bits shoved in my bag and cotton wool and away we go!

I am 26 weeks and have a pre baby hosptial bag packed (with my first two i was in hosptial alot before they were born). I also ordered a pushchair and moses basket ordered. I havent got naything else for the birth or any clothes etc yet though,

i'm 37 weeks with my 3rd. I have a pile of stuff that I keep meaning to sort, and my hospital bag is in the loft still. Got a carpet in the baby's room fitted today. I think I'm just busy with the other 2, I haven't got time for all the other things I should be preparing, cos I just fall asleep as soon as they are in bed!
