Hi All
Is it likely that my baby will stay head down until due date?
his head is down, his legs are on my right hand side, and his back is on my left hand side.

Not a chance! Baby will wriggle and dance and move around for Britain in the next 10 weeks! The position at 29 weeks doesn't mean a thing.

both mine turned at 28 weeks, and were head down at every appoitnment and for birth. babies can and do turn until they are born.

lulumama, do you mean that baby can still turn at 38 or so weeks??

Both of my babies were head-down at around that time & stayed that way. I'm now 38 weeks & my baby doesn't make many big movements anymore, just little ones due to the lack of room in there. She's still "free" in my pelvis, but second babies don't always engage until labour begins anyway. First babies tend to engage in the pelvis a couple of weeks before they're born.

my last baby was transverse and the placenta was across me or something and I had to go into hospital at 27 weeks as they told me there was chance of the cord coming down first and if I was at home there would not be enough time to get a c section done.. I was in for 10 weeks and baby turned at last minute so yes they d tirn at 37/38 weeks.
