I woke up Tuesday morning vomiting, I spent the whole day being sick in various places, lol, and just couldn't hole anything down.

I had an appointment at 2pm to have a mole removed and decided to keep the appointment even tho I felt ill.

When I got home I was still throwing up and getting braxton hicks.

I wanted to just go to bed but my mum kept telling me to ring the midwives.

I posted on here and was told to ring

So i did and they told me to go in.

Turns out I was severely dehydrated, both me and baby were tachycardic (sp? - fast heartbeat) and I am aneamic.

I was admitted and had to have 4 bags of fluid through an IV drip and an anti sickness injection in my bum

Im home now but on Iron tablets, anti sickness tablets and anti-biotics.

If I did what I wanted I would have just stayed at home and maybe gotten very sick

coppertop · 13/11/2008 11:53

I'm glad you were able to get the help you needed. I hope you feel much better soon. xx

glad you're feeling better, and you did the right thing by going in. They'll ALWAYS tell you to go in if you call up, and it's a pain, but it really is for your, and your baby's own good.

I had the same thing with ds1 and ended up staying overnight on a saline drip - felt great in the morning!

Sorry to hear this Enchanted . Glad you got the help you needed. I think it's easy to dismiss pg worries, esp if it's not your first.
