40 + weeks and waiting..... Come here to commiserate...

just went to see the mw and she told me that the baby's head was not engaged and that my bump hasnt dropped yet... I really thought it had dropped so very disappointed...
Got an appointment for next monday to discuss sweep and inductions...
Cant believe i could face another two weeks of waiting...

i commiserate with you, im 40 + 11 today, ive had two sweeps and am booked in for induction on Wed. I was 10 days late with my first so i was expecting to go over and i eventually had a lovely natural waterbirth with G+A at midwife led unit 1st time and so wanted this to be the same but is starting to look like ill have to go the huge busy hospital instead to be induced. This baby was not engaged on my due date but the midwife told me to ring the hospital 3 days later and ask if i could go in for a sweep which i did and the baby was 3/5th engaged. i then had 2nd sweep last Thursday and the baby was totally engaged and my cervix was open and ready and i had a bit of a show but still nothing has really happened, just some sharp twinges when the baby moves in what feels like my cervix. Ive tried everything and poor DP got done for speeding yesterday taking me for a bumpy ride! just contemplating ringing the hospital and asking if i can have another sweep just to see if i can get this baby moving on my own.
