38 weeks, start every morning off with a tummy ache -why?

its really quite painful, but feels just like a regular tummy ache you would have when not pg...what could it be? could it mean baby is allergic to something?

It's probably just wind or stretching pains. It doesn't mean your baby is allergic to something.

mention it to your midwife. I wonder if it's due to the baby engaging and pressing onto the bowels?

when you say tummy ache
is it the stomach (left hand side, bottom of ribcage
or pelvic pain
or abdominal - ie intestinal/bowels

its not hunger i tried that but if i eat it doesnt change it

Stayinbed - so weird, I'm 37+4 and this has been happening to me for the last week or so! So weird, isn't it? I'm also hopeful that it's something to do with the baby wriggling down and getting engaged - and as soon as I'm up and about, it seems to go...

Anyway, hope you're doing well other than that. I just want to meet him, now!
