Vaginal Pain at 35+ weeks

I am getting shooting vaginal pain every couple of minutes, and they have been getting closer together since yesterday. I've also been having period like pain and increased discharge.

I went into contractions and threatened labour at 28 weeks, and it doesn't feel the same. I don't feel like I'm having contractions, or anything consistent. Just that there is pain and it's uncomfortable.

Has anyone else experienced this? A quick look on the net says it could mean I'm dilating or the baby's head is engaging but I'm looking for anyone who's had a similar experience.

yes i used to get shooting pains with both pgs towards the end. it is the head pressing on a nerve i think.

dont worry about it
it should go if the baby moves a little. i didn't hav it every couple of minutes all the time. maybe for a period of time now and again.

i'm 32+6 and have been sitting here wondering what these shooting pains i've been having this morning are funnily enough. I'm not sure i've had any proper contractions and was wondering if that's what this is. They are quite painful!

Oh I used to get these a lott. Used to feel like somone was shoving a knitting needle up my fanjo.

Ligament pain I think or pressing on a nerve. All normal which may be good or bad depending on how you look at it!

I'm 35 weeks with dc3. My darling ds1 is breech - so I am getting lots of lovely kicks on my cervix and electric shocks down my fanjo! Nice!

My dd's were both headdown at this stage and were headbanging my cervix.

Think it goes with the stage of pregnancy - unfortunately!
