Bleeding at 10 weeks

Sorry if too much information here but could do with some reassurance. 10 weeks pregnant, had intercourse last night for first time since finding out I'm pregnant as previously too sick etc to face it. Went to loo at 3am to find I was bleeding which has carried on this morning but now seems to have stopped. No pain, cramping etc, so hoping it was just a response to sex and increased hormones as book suggests. Haven't experienced anything like this in previous pregnancy. GP surgery shut until Monday as is the early pregnancy unit at the local hospital. Was thinking I'd sit tight and just try and see my GP on Monday. Anyone got any advice?

If it happened after sex then it is probably due to a cervical erosion - a common occurrence in pregnancy where the rubbing would have caused a small amount of bleeding. If you have no pain/cramping and bleeding has stopped I really wouldn't worry at all. You are right - just sit tight, don't worry and mention it to m/w or GP when you see them.
