Early pregnancy pain...am I paranoid?

Im just over 10 weeks pregnant and have had a really strange pain just under my lower ribs on one side since tuesday.

I cant feel it at all when I am still or sat but when I am walking it feels almost like getting stitch. I assumed its a pulled muscle (I did some excersize on Monday) but it hasnt really eased since then.

Should I be worried?....its not really cramping and I have no other symptoms...I also think its too high up to be anywhere near the baby (but I must admit my knowledge of where things are located is a bit hazy !).

I hate being paranoid but dont get my scan until next week so I think I am over-analysing everything !

Hi just to let you know I have had this with all my pregnancies and it gets really bad when I walk. I have to stop as it hurts to much and it sounds like the same thing, I think it is just something you get while pregnant and I wouldn't worry and it never was harmful to the baby just hurt me. hope this helps

Thanks Lizzie.....I know really that its nothing to worry about but its nice to hear that from someone else too !

Im a first timer and although I was determined not to be one of those neurotic mums to be... Im afraid thats what I am turning into.

I guess as long as everything else feels fine I shouldnt worry and when I have my first scan next week I think I will feel better

Why does no one tell you about the crazy strange things pregnancy does to your body and that you will turn from a rational human being into a nervous wreck !

I had this throughout with DD. Am pregnant again and it arises every so often.
Mention at your next antenatal if you are really worried, i'm sure they can set your mind at rest.
Be prepared for a multitude of odd niggles, aches and pain. And don't be too hard on yourself. This is my second pregnancy and still think "oh lord, what was that. Tis natural. [wnk]
Congrats btw.

I'm fairly sure I had something similar early on too and assumed it was everything just stretching and getting ready. Bit worrying that it was only a year ago and can't reallt remember! Hope you're ok and the scan goes well
