Any one out there know for definite what the rule is with avoiding Blue Cheese when you are no longer pregnant but breastfeeding.
I would have to say that the hardest thing to give up for me was Danish Blue.
I am desperate to be able to eat it again but if the advice is to avoid when breastfeeding then I will

Don't think so. I'm sure I read that things like blue cheese/pate etc. that you have to give up whilst pregnant can be eaten when breastfeeding as it is not possible to pass on listeria etc via breastmilk. Think you only have to be careful with peanuts, if there is an allergy in your family. HTH.

The only thing I would say is that you shoud watch very strong flavours for the first few weeks as it can affect the flavour of your milk and put baby off feeding/make baby windy. Curiously I only wanted to eat really bland food for the first three months after dd was born, and I seem to have lost my liking for garlic completely. Plus you don't want to risk getting food poisoning in the early days of breastfeeding, believe me...

it's fine trinity.
You're not going to get food poisoning with blue cheese now any more than you would if you weren't breastfeeding!
