how active was your baby in the run up to birth?

Just wondering what their movements were like? Did they go quiet or crazy in the day or so up to the birth? Do you think they 'know' when they are going to be born??

I think both of mine had a chill out. I remember the last couple of weeks feeling nothing more than the odd kick in the ribs!
