I think it finally may be time!!! excited but so scared

i'm 40+4 went to hospital last night with very bad ctx, was told the baby's head is in front of my cervix which has started to efface.
the midwife said she had stimulated my cervix, and she expects to see me within 24 hours.

since getting home, i have been having such strong ctx and pains that are not going away with a bath and paracetamol.

i've been complaining that i have been waiting too long for this, and now i'm actually really scared about the whole birth.

any words of calm would be great! thanks

you will be fantastic - relax - your body is designed to give birth. good luck - hope it doesnt go on too long and just keep picturing the lo at the end.
