I am 38 weeks pregnant at the moment.
DS1 and DS2 were both overdue (10 days and 7 days), I know it doesn't seem like much, but I don't think i can face going over this time!!!!
Just wondered what peoples experiences were, if anyone had had an early baby after having an overdue one, or if you tend to go overdue, that's just how you are....

My 1st was 5 days overdue, 2nd was 8 days early, 3rd was 1 day overdue, so no particular pattern with mine.

1st 41 weeks
2nd 39 weeks
3rd 40 weeks

Bear in mind that a due date is a very individual thing - it is perfectly normal to deliver a week either side, and the date can easily be inaccurate by a week either way too.

Springflower · 06/11/2008 19:58

1st 40 + 6
2nd 40 + 4
3rd 40 + 1

so they did get gradually earlier for me!

BiancaCastafiore · 06/11/2008 20:00

Ds1 40+3

Ds2 41+3 (induced)

Dd1 41 (induced)

Dd2 39+6 - I felt like I'd had a premature birth!

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 06/11/2008 20:32

DS2 40 exactly!

mabel1973 · 07/11/2008 07:25

thanks everyone, you are giving me hope! I am willing to try anything to try and get this babe to come early, so any suggestions of anything that you think worked for you, would be much appreciated!

jop64 · 07/11/2008 08:24

Funnily enough I tried allsorts with DS1 and nothing worked apart from medical induction. With DS2 I did nothing and he appeared right on cue on his due date!
Good luck to you!

MmeLindt · 07/11/2008 08:47

DD 42 (induction)

DS 39 (induction after waters broke)

I also tried everything to get DD moving (cinnimon, melon, stair climbing, long walks, bouncing on ball, sex ...)

Good luck!

mad4mybaby · 07/11/2008 10:38

mme what does cinamon and melon do??

MmeLindt · 07/11/2008 11:56

My midwife told me that melon and cinnamon were good for starting off labour. I got through a whole tub of cinnimon and god knows how many melons before DD was induced.

mad4mybaby · 07/11/2008 12:02

thats funny! sounds like the pineapple!

mabel1973 · 07/11/2008 13:20

I have never heard of melon or cinnamon either....something else to add to my list!

dd was induced at 40+10 and I think would have been happy in there for longer.

dd turned up 13 days early. Much to my surprise. I was in no way ready, as I'd very much assumed he'd be late as well.

Playdough · 07/11/2008 16:36

DD: 42 weeks, I escaped induction by a few hours
DS: 38 + 3
DS2: 40 weeks tomorrow and no sign ...

ddusia · 19/11/2008 14:58

DS1 40+28 INDUCED= 44WEEKS
