Good present for new mums?

My friend has a 3 week old. We bought him a present - toy and jumper - when he was born but I want to buy something nice for my friend who is stuck at home after a c-section. I imagine she is drowning in flowers and also she has no time to read books. What can I send her that is nice, affordable and postable that is just for her?

Hand cream, smellies etc or big box of chocolates/ biscuits.

A good comedy DVD. Good for when you are feeling down and don't have the energy to read a book. Anything to save her from watching daytime tv, which isn't great at the best of times! Far more practical then flowers.

I gave my friend wine (she wasn't bf'ing), choccies and bath foam. I think the gesture is often more appreciated rather than the actual gift!

Bath foam, vouchers for a facial?

Just remembered one friend gave us some really amazing steaks and salmon from some Scottish outfit. It was amazing! And so good to have a really good meal.

I voucher for a massage/treatment of some kind - thats what I would like!!! Tho like the sound of the mail order salmon too, if they are into their food.

Ooh just thought of another one - you could 'make' a voucher for future babysitting for her - she won't want it now but it might encourage her to ask you when she is ready? This will only work if you live close enough, which of course you might not do....
