weird symptoms of early pregnancy

other than sickness, what, if any, weird symptoms did you have that were a sign of being pregnant, were they different for different pregnancies?

mine in my last pg was a total inexplicable rage towards my dp, for absolutely no reason, i was awful and just couldnt help it

Mine was total inexplicable affection for my DH. It's quite embarrassing in retrospect.

(Disclaimer: I utterly love DH, but don't generally fawn around him like a lovelorn 15 yr old)

got a headache from one glass of wine and actually had to force it down which is not normal for me - found out the next day I was pregnant.

when pg with dd - incandescent rage at some friends who were staying with us, but had outstayed their welcome AND a weird love of Ronan Keating's "You Say It Best"

with ds - almost immediate craving for cherryade combined with hideous sickness and
overwhelming love for dd and dh

current one - extreme emotional reaction to EVERYTHING, ie. cried bucketloads at Bridge To Terabithia, couldn't pull self together (poor kids think I am deranged) and again overwhelming love for dd, ds and dh

Mine were,suddenly becoming very allergic to our dog and any others for that matter (sneezing constantly and feeling itchy when she was near me) this started a couple of days before I found out and carried on untill about week 7 when it completely disapeared

Also like MadamAnt I became like a love sick teenager towards dp, and missed him like mad whenever he went anywhere (including the toilet ) This was very unlike me as I had previously been thinking of ending the relationship because I didn't think I felt much for him anymore.

Also a couple of days before I found out I dreamt that I got a bfp, with the exact test I got my bfp with. This was after years of trying and I know I'd never had a similar dream before

Felt like my nipples had been rubbed with sandpaper

Is terrible forgetfullness (that is completely out of the norm for someone) one of them!!!!!!? I mean, I have been like that for 2 days now and I mean BADDDDD! Not like me - I spent an hour looking for my other shoe, SOOO determined to find it and then only to realise it was already on my foot! And it gets worse...!! I have never done silly things like this - too early yet though to test, maybe another week or so.

Feeling really really cold and getting the shivers depsite it being the middle of the summer. I had a hot water bottle with me at all times when at home.

Now in the second trimester it's the opposite and I'm too hot all the time!

I got through bottles of mouth wash in the first 14 weeks - every food left a disgusting taste in my mouth.

First pregnancy it was metal tasting, this time round it was just like off milk or cheese and that was even after mints, chewing gum etc.

I have been getting the same train home for YEARS and yesterday I somehow got on completely the wrong one. Ended up in the middle of nowhere before I realised my mistake and had to call for a cab to come and rescue me!!!

I had this bizarre rash all over my torso, like ringworm. it was 8 weeks after my wedding and i had caned the sunbed
rash came up and i convinced myself it was sunbed damage. found out i was pregnant and went to see the nurse. whilst i was there i asked about the rash and she said, "oh thats classic blah blah blah of pregnancy, have you had it for about 2 weeks?"
i was astounded, i didnt catch what she called it but i was only 5 weeks pregnant and so i'd had it literally from conception and found it amazing that she could tell just by looking!

Only have DD, but I found that certain sounds and pitches made me feel so sick.

Didn't want to eat anything from week 10 to week 25, so consequently lots loads of weight. Food didn't make me feel sick, I just didn't want it...it felt bizzare as I loooove food.

I found it completely different this time round. Weeks six and eight were by far the worst, with a 'miricale' recovery at nine weeks. Only for it to retun at eleven weeks until 14 weeks although really not as bad and much easier to deal with.

First time round it was worse seven to eight and then went completely at ten weeks. So no ryhme or reason whatsoever.

Maybe you'll get the worst bit over with quicker this time and you'll be blooming before you know it. I do sympathise, I'm always posting on here about how horrible it is but I'm a complete wuss with sickness. Fine with pain though luckily!

There was a long thread a while ago about coping with nausea which you could look up. Does anyone know what happened to CosmoGirl?

like feb80, I almost got onto the wrong bus ( opposite direction!! ) twice yesterday... was very bizzare. and also feeling really angry with my poor DH at times and then seconds later: me- where are you going? him - I am not going anywhere , just to the loo .... and missing him already!

just got the hell scared of some dodgy sounds outside: thought someone is breaking into the hiuse at 2 pm! and found out it is my window cleaner

Weird dreams! They are so intense I wake up exhausted and are in technicolour involving scenes and people and feelings from so long ago in my past that I don't know where my brain is digging them up from!
