Had the rescheduled cardiac echo and 20 week scan today, after being total idiot about dates (see here)

The baby's heart looks totally normal, and everything on the 20 week scan looks normal too, although its head and tummy are both above average size!

fanatastic

I saw your thread, but not sure if I posted on it.

thanks FAQ - it's quite a load off my mind, I have to say

that's great news - I read your thread before. so glad all is ok

lulumama · 31/10/2008 19:39

really glad to hear that, wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy x

Glad everything is okay. They picked up a 'possible problem' at DS's 20wk scan with his heart so had to see a specialist. Everything was fine (was down to the latest tech scanner and midwives not taking chances with the readings - understandable obviously) but it was the longest weekend of my life. It was such a relief to get the all clear.

And breathe.....

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 31/10/2008 19:51

How was your DDs MRI Saggarmakers?

oh yes on the breathe front, huge sighs of relief all round the FreshHell/Dancing household!

Now we just have to worry about that big head - going for a VBAC!

Ah, hmm, dd not fab but not too grim. MRI went well, 1 hr 50 but she didn't panic. Sadly it was inconclusive so now needs a cardiac cath (angiogram with bells and whistles). But she's had these before so it will be OK. Yes. It will be.

The big head will be fine. Just keep breathing.....

I'm impressed she didn't panic, I'd be out of the door in three seconds flat if you tried to feed me into one of those MRI tubes!

Really sorry to hear she's got to have more unpleasant tests - hope it's not all too stressful for you all. More Pre Appointment Tension, I guess

I'll keep everything crossed that the catheter gives you some good news

Hi LittleMyInDisguise,

I searched your messages to see how the scans went. Hurrah! Well done and what a relief. Can you relax a bit now?

Oh and good luck with the VBAC. I had just agreed with the consultant to go for VBAC two hours before the nuchal scan sent everything awry. I really hope you have a stressfree next 20 weeks and that BabyDancing comes out smoothly!!!

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 01/11/2008 12:35

Oh hopefully, sorry I hadn't posted an update on your thread - I was posting last night then DP came home drunk and DS fell out of bed, and that was that for MNetting for a while!

thanks for coming to find me and for your good wishes - it's really nice of you to be pleased for us in the midst of your difficult times. hope you have the same good luck when you're ready to try again

xx

Funny, DD fell out of bed two nights ago (our bed, not the cot where she was meant to be...).

Anyway am really glad things went well. Have a stress free weekend!
