bump

Thats what i was told. Ds's 19 days and 21 days late and were 8lbs and 9.7bls. Dd2 was a wk early and 7.4lb so kind of works out. How late are you now? Have to say nipple stim seemed to work for me - wk early after both boys really late.

expatinscotland · 31/10/2008 09:57

i'm being induced at 12 days overdue.

dd1 was 7lbs., 1 oz. and dd2 was 6lbs., 9oz.

both 38 weekers - dd1 38+6 and dd2 38+2.

i'm 40 weeks.

today's my due date and nary a twinge.

numptysmummy · 31/10/2008 10:01

Be looking a 9lbs then - in theory, which never works anyway. I was induced with dc2 at 40+19 but with dc3 i went into labour at 40+21. As i said,dc4 was early but i was basically nipple twiddling every day from around 38wks. Def bought on contractions.

MamaG · 31/10/2008 10:03

I'm a day late

DD was 8 4 at T+10
DS was 8 9 at T+11

So a 9lber at T+12 (when they will induce me) probably is in keeping.

I tried the nip thing but it hurt! I don't haev a very high pain threshold

What - your nips hurt or bx's? If nips then try doing it more gently! If bx's then keep going!!!!!

MamaG · 31/10/2008 10:07

No, nipples ! I thought you had to be quite vigorous

Maybe I'll turn on my electric toothbrush and stick it in my bra

Just gentle twiddling but you have to do it for quite a long time. Have you tried the curry, sex, long walk, tractor ride stuff?

MamaG · 31/10/2008 10:15

yyy apart from tractor ride

I'm quite resigned to induction TBH

Wasn't as bad as i expected - the only reason i was so anti was because of a previous c-section. Limits the induction ooptions and if the first dose doesn't work it's straight to theatre. Hence leaving it as long as they would let me go! I found that once i got to a wk overdue i stopped waking up thinking is today the day and it was abit easier.

MamaG · 31/10/2008 11:36

I know what you mean. Having gone overdue and had to be induced both times before, I'm not as gutted as I was first time around

I was 42 +5 when my DS was born, and he was 10 lbs 2 oz

Hopefully this baby will come a bit earlier, then

MamaG · 01/11/2008 07:12

Are you pg MrsMattie? When are you due? Or did you mean my baby

Thats a helluva weight!

Both dd's were on due dates and they weighed 8lb 2 and 7lb 3 so if this one comes on time will he be nearer 8 or 7
