Pregnancy granuloma - anyone had one? or any dentists out there with advice??

I've got one of these growing away nastily on the roof of my mouth. I know it isn't dangerous and would leave it til baby is born and see if it goes away by itself (I'm 30 weeks), BUT it is getting painful and bleeding lots when I brush teeth and eat.

Just wondering if anyone else has had one and whether there is any other treatment than removal. My dentist said that they tend not to remove them if poss in preg as they grow back so often.
I'm hoping that because I've got 10 or so weeks to go, it is long enough to be worth removing but not so long that the thing can grow back to the same proportions it is now.

Urgh. it is so grim and making me feel a bit shitty.
Any advice welcome

i got one when i was pg with dd1 6 yrs ago
just above my 2 front teeth

it kind of died away and thenreappeared when i got pg again 2 yrs later

that was 4 yrs ago and its still there

dentist says he could lance it and sew it up but the thought makes me feel faint

I've just been on the phone to my dentist and he's referred me to the hospital for it to be cut out. I can't wait - the idea of it is grim but it'll be SUCH A RELIEF to have it gone and for my mouth to feel normal again. Even if it grows back I'll have a few weeks relief...

did yours shrink at all once you had your dc2?

no its still there and dd2 is 4

If I report back and tell you the removal bit was easy peasy will you be tempted to get yours snipped?!
