did anyone not get a positive hpt till later on??

just wondering did anyone there keep getting bfn on hpt but sure they were pg??

I haven't had this personally but know someone who always takes ages to get a negative. Her current pregnancy (no5) took 12 weeks to show on an hpt

I've been pregnant twice, first time was 6ish weeks pregnant before got +ve hpt, but ended in miscarriage at 12 weeks so thought perhaps hormones weren't right all along.

Last pregnancy got +ve about 2 & half weeks after period was due (despite testing every day ), and baby measured correct for dates and arrived when due by last period. DD is perfectly healthy and had a textbook pregnancy so maybe some of us just have different hormone levels??

I didn't get a BFP until 43 days after last period. Got 3 BFNs when testing around time period was due.

I got a neg today even though i feel a little pregnant (if that's possible, few of the early signs) i've booked a drs appointment but the earliest i can get is Tuesday so will just have to wait and see.

I didnt get a positive till 5 and half weeks after last period if thats any help? Had signs like bloating and heartburn at 4 and a half weeks but tested negative then.

thanks everyone - now would be 5 weeks today if i am pregnant but still not 100% sure - not tested since monday but scared as dont want another bfp!! im also scared that could be, but hcg levels arent rising as they should be??

I didn't get a BFP until I was about 6 weeks pregnant - based both on my last period & the dating scan I've had since - despite a few tests over that time. The baby's fine so far as anyone can tell so far (I'm 16+5), so whatever caused it hopefully hasn't had any lasting effects.

Yes I didnt get a BFP for ages after AF was due for this pregnancy. My understanding is that if you ovulate late in your cycle it takes a while for the hormone levels to build up & register on a test. That, & some people just have less naturally I guess!

lisad did you get bfn after bfn but you knew you were pregnant, or by the time you had symptoms you were 12 weeks?

i'm going a little stir crazy i keep getting bfn but i have a few symptoms but haven't been getting periods so don't know if i'm late or whats going on with my body. I have to wait till Tuesday and its driving me potty.
I'm just going to think i'm not pregnant as there's nothing i can do.

nope being having symptoms since i would guess about 4 weeks. Put it down to sickness bug, but i didnt have regular periods anyways. I even had a piece of cervix removed about 7 weeks preggy and the 2 tests the hospital did were neg. theres always hope My LO is now 5years old

hey everyone, ive just been for a blood test, find out results on Monday;

so far i am exhausted, sickness, increased white creamy cervical mucus, so emotional, then irritable, cervix seems higher? headaches, really really hungry at wierd times?? constipation, had cramps and had a litlle bit of brown discharge at time af was due but 2 negative tests today - also this month i do just feel pg? does that sound wierd?? Im now 37 days in to normally28/29 day cycle - doctor thinks its highly unlikely i am pg and was reluctant to do a blood test as 2 neg hpt this morning!!

anyone got any views?? i "feel" pg is that possible?? be as brutal as you like, this is seriosuly doing my head in now?? if i am then i want to be able to relax if im not i want to know where my af is??? im only 26 so no idea whats happened to it if im not pg??

might not help but my bloods came back neg too! Im a weird one.Hope u get the answers you want

what did docs say when you did finally get you bfp lisa?? im dreading my come back as a negative now as i really do feel pg!!

well when i went back for my cervix result the consult said "oh i see you were pregnant when we took you biopiy. how did we miss that!"
my GP said, just one of those things!

i thought i was, but was my first so wasnt sure! I got a postive at 12 weeks

thanks, this will be my first too if i am and i know something isnt quite right, was everything ok? healthy? Hope you dont mind me asking, it helps to talk to someone who has been through this! did you test alot leading up to the 12 weeks, or was there a time you considered yuou must be?? i cant cope with freeling like this for another 7 weeks!!??

i had a terrible pregnancy, i had pre eclampica and placental failure but had the same with dd2 so doubt very much it was linked. DD1 is fine.
I did 6 home tests, hosptail did 2 and gp did a blood test (must say this was very early on), and got a result on 12th test. I had drank, been knocked out by a kid i was working with and slept on the floor at a childrens camp. Babies are tougher than we think. Im sure you'll be fine and made it a little easier as i was past the 12 week mark so could tell everyone.

I did, I got a BFP after my 2nd missed period after BFNs but my dates by scan showed the 1st missed period was just that, and I must have conceived before my 2nd missed period... but then DS was always big for dates

thanks for all your help, but i started bleeding today so looks like af has arrived and put an end to this month for me - hope to be joining you here soon though!!
