Does anyone know how much more detailed a 20 week scan is over a 16 week scan?

My health authority only offers a 16 week scan. I suspected it was less detailed than a 20 week scan for several reasons. a) I think I read it somewhere and b) a friend of mine who is a docotr paid to have a 20 week Bupa scan.

I haven't been able to contact the said friend to discuss this with her so I thought I'd try my luck here. I saw my midwife yesterday for the first time and got a little brown envelope with lots of leaflets inside. One of these leaflets explains the 16 week scan and says it is a dating scan and that this scan is not a detailed scan

Now I am worried. How would heart defects, or problems with kidneys or other things be picked up at the 16 week scan?
