Hi,

Sorry starting to get a bit paranoid, mu little wrggler has been presenting breech now for 4 weeks I do not have another MW appointment until I will be 36.4, my MW says not to worry just yet but I really want to avoid having a CS if possible. On everything I have read about Moxibustien treatments it says the best time is at 34 weeks is it worth me going ahead with it anyway?

Thanks

Difficult to answer. If it's something you'd do later, then you may as well do it now - the trade off being that the earlier you try the more space they have to turn so it should be easier, but then they'll have more space to try and turn back as well (if they're so inclined...) + the earlier you try the more chance they'd have turned themselves anyway and saved you the money and time.

When I was pregnant with DD (born as a breech baby at home after declining an ECV - a CS isn't compulsory even if your DC doesn't turn), I found "Breech Birth" by Benna Waites to be a very worthwhile read - I felt it gave me a much more balanced and considered view of the options than the NHS registrar and it also has a chapter on complementery methods of encouraging your baby to turn.

You might also want to start considering "what if's" and planning ahead - if your DC stays breech, would you go for an ECV? Would you want to try a breech birth?

have already replied on another thread but you might as well do it yourself - this has lots of info and you could buy the sticks here for a couple of quid. The spinning babies website is also helpful.
