Anyone suffering with a constant upset tum instead of/as well as morning sickness? I'm 8 weeks' pregnant. Off to replenish fluids again!

Oh yes me- where everyone else had constipation, I had the opposite for the first 12 weeks. This was in addition to nausea. It's stopped now though. HTH x

Glad you're feeling better! Am enjoying some lovely dry crackers and a glass of water

Thanks. Yeah don't worry, its all part of the whole being pg experience!

I have the exact same right now (also 8 weeks). It is awful (well, I get nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, the full works).

You have my deepest sympathy. I am counting the days until the 2nd trimester.

Hope you're on better form soon, Bluebutterfly. It is horrid, isn't it? Never far from the bathroom for one reason or another I can't believe how slowly the first trimester is going. I found out I was pregnant three weeks today - feels like an absolute lifetime ago. No 12 week scans im my area either, so I don't have that to aim for!

Where do you live Mhairi100?
Can you do a private one at 12 weeks?

Mhairi100 · 15/10/2008 14:24

Hi CS7, I live in Chippenham. Think I might book a private scan in Bath - you need to be referred before you can book, though, and I don't have my midwife appt for another two weeks. And I don't know what waiting times are like, etc. I should probably be a bit more proactive and ring them to find out instead of wallowing in my sickness/upset tum!

Really? A referral for a private scan? That's a bit strict!
Have you done an online search for private scan places around you? Here in Herts, there are loads of places that would do one from 7 weeks.
x

It's mean, isn't it? The one wanting the referral is by far the cheapest, but if I can't get the referral will probably fork out the extra!

Hi ladies

I had awful stomach cramps and upset tummy as well as MS (from wk 7 to still there now at 18+5)and HG (week 10). my tummy got all swollen and sore at about week 12.
I had a bacterial gut infection though (diagnosed at about week 16), but don't know when I got it and there was nothing they could give me. I just have to wait it out to get better, which it might be.

Do you know if you are lactose intolerant? Apparently this can happen when you are pregnant and can have diarrhoea symptoms, so I'm avoiding dairy...
