Can anyone give some general advice on travel insurance. We've been invited to a family party in Frnace next year, when I'll be 35wks PG. It's a special occasion so if I can, I'd like to go. It's only for a weekend and we'll be travelling Eurostar not plane.

Will travel insurance cover me or not? Anyone any experience?

Thanks,
Flirty x

I think you are covered in France anyway in you have your EHIC card (apply online). But you should get your own travel insurance so you are covered to be brought home etc Check online and phone company to check they will cover you, If you will be more than 35 weeks on your return you may find it difficult.

Hi flirty,

I will be 30 weeks when i travel to australia and 35 when i come back. I have found a couple of companies that will insure you upto 36 weeks.

One is called (I think) IHI and are based in Denmark. The other are called Ravenhall Risk Solutions and if you Google them you'll find their contact details.

Hope this helps.
