Blood in urine - 35 weeks, does anybody have experience of this?

I passed blood in my urine last night, 7pm, quite a lot, after speaking to my midwife and not knowing then that this was in my urine they admitted me thinking my waters had broken. After tests showed that my cervix was closed and no sign of bleeding there they decided that it must have been in my urine (later samples had shown red, not just the watery pink from before). They sent me home after doing swabs and told me to wait four days for results. They said it wouldnt be my kidney or I would have been in so much pain they would have been able to tell so suggested it is either an infection or hormonal.

I just wondered if anybody had any experience of this as it does seem a bit strange / worrying to me, although the hospital didn't seem overly worried.

my ex had this at 30 weeks, rushed her to the hospital, they kept her in overnight and the next day said ''nothing to worry about''. the one thing they did pick up was group B strep but the ''blood'' they said was not blood but tissue similar to period debris. no sign of bleeding inside, no fissures, no tears no nothing. had a perfectly normal pregnancy after that, my son was 2 weeks late (went into labour 8 hours before we were due to go in for induction!!)
one thing they did keep asking me about was intercourse, they didn't believe me when I said we hadn't so I guess they thought sex was the reason why!!

Thanks for your response, so sorry for the delay, my pc has been out of order. I had a kidney scan which showed up as normal, however the blood in urine is getting worse, every wee is now bright red. I'm seeing a consultant on monday and it has been suggested that they may need to induce me early so i'll see how monday goes.
