Hi I've just got my BFP, so happy. However, I'm only living in the UK a few months, and don't know what the next step is, is it a trip to my GP, or book into a hosp, or go to a health centre?

TIA

Erm.......varies depending on where you live really. Usually give your GP surgery a ring when you are around 6 or 7 weeks and ask them if you need it confirmed by a GP or if you can just book in to see the MW.

If you have to see a GP they will just confirm your pregnancy and refer you to the MW who will start off all your paperwork, organise scans etc. If you don't have to see a GP then you make a MW appointment directly.

At least that is how it works here
