some signs of the baby being engaged are: bump is much lower, feels like having a basketball between your legs. If you know what you're feeling for, you might be able to feel the head way down in your pelvis, but this will only work if you knew where it was before!

Generally though, it's fairly hard to tell yourself I think. Good luck!

I definitely felt mine "drop" both times,. it's like you're sitting on their head the whole time.
feels very heavy and low down.
but if they're only a little bit engaged I don't thjink you could tell unless you knew what you were feeling for (through tummy I mean)

In theory you should breathe a bit easier and have less heartburn if you have suffered with these as the pressure upwards reduces.

I say in theory because mine was so long that that, um, didn't really apply!

I read the thread title before seeing it was listed in the pregnancy section - how could you not know you were engaged (to be married!)

lol rose.

well im 33+2 and bump has def dropped and i keep getting told i look like im going to drop (dont you just HATE that expression?! If only it was that easy!) saw MW last week as i thought it was a possibility that baby was on his way down but she didnt mention anything. I engaged with ds1 quite early and he was born at 38 weeks. Just curious really! Not seeing mw for few weeks just wanted to know!
