What colour is the mucus plug?

Hi i have been getting a normal colour discharge for pregnancy (sorry for TMI)and recently its been strange. Last friday i had a little slight blood loss like a pink colour and today i had like a pale green jelly like blob in my knickers, just wondered if this could be my mucus plug?? sorry again for TMI but its a bit embarrasing to mention to anyone

Mine was like clear jelly with pink strands. It's worth ringing your midwife.

Sounds like it to me. Mine was like that and started several weeks before I gave birth @ 41 weeks.

I would say so. I only remember it with DS1 as I was in the shower, it was clear with pink bits, but literally like a blob of jelly, which i didn't expect!

Sounds familiar, phone the midwife or pop in just to get yourself checked out. Good luck

I got such a shock from mine (as described but larger than I somehow expected) that I instantly puked up all over myself. Surprising how fast a 40wk pregnant woman can actually move when she needs to!

yup - sounds like it. mine came out in bits over a few days and had DD within 2 weeks. sign of things getting geared up and ready. i would give the midwife a call, just in case

yep sounds like it. I imagined a piece about the size of a cork... How wrong was i? Mines was huge and took a good couple of days. Had ds 3 days later

With DS1 it was like someone had sneezed!
With DS2 it was jelly like with streaks of blood and not as much as i had expected (didn't lose it until 8 cm)
with DS3 i didn't lose it until i was 9/10cm!! and different again
