just after some advice really. Trying to support my sister but just keep thinking im doing/saying all the wrong things.

She had a mmc in april then a CP in July. All following IUI treatment. Now 10 weeks. but 3 days ago had exactly same thing happen as with mmc. All symptoms just stopped. Says they have gone completely and that she just knows its over.

Scan tomorrow. I desperately want everything to be ok but also dont want to give false hope. She is so terrified.

I know no one can really answer this but helps writing it down

There have been threads just like this loads of times, it seems to be quite a common time for symptoms to settle down, I hope that in some way reassures your sister. I do hope her scan goes well tomorrow.

If she really can't wait, she can just go to her hospital straightaway and explain she's very worried and they'll try to fit her in, she may ahve to wait a bit.
Twice in the first trimester, i panicked because i was bleeding (at 7 weeks and 9 weeks) and I drove straight to QE2 (my hosp) in panic and they did an emergency scan for me and showed me the baby wa sokay. They are not heartless people and i doubt they'll turn her away if she just goes straight there.

Thanks Heinz - ive searched the threads and trying to hold onto the stories.

I think her concern is because its exactly the same as last time and also they stopped dramatically - rather than just settled down

Thanks CS7 - unfortunately she tried that yesterday adn they did (say no) . Told her earliest scan was friday !!!!! Anyway after a bit of fuss she is now being seen tomorrow. Was going to pay for a private scan but if it is bad news then wants to be int he system. Feel bad even saying 'bad news' - dont want to tempt fate. I keep trying to think positive baby thoughts.

Hi Kizzie,

Sorry to hear that. Hoping for her that all is okay and that she sees her little one's heartbeat flickering away.

My symptoms suddenly dissappeared at about that stage, even the sore boobs went away for at least a couple of weeks. it's horribly worrying, even more so for your sister I expect because of her history. but everythings still fine so far with me (I'm 25 weeks now).
It doesn't have to be bad news at all.

please let us know how she gets on, I'll be thinking of her.

kizzie · 07/10/2008 15:56

Thanks for replying mrsmontano - and glad it was good news for you!

Trying to hang onto hope for DSis and BIL.
