29+5 And In Pain With Bump

As the title says, Im 29+5 and have been in real pain with my bump for the past few hours.

It started late afternoon, before Id eaten tea, so I know that its not due to over eating!

My bump feels so taught as though its about to explode any minute, and I have a constant ache whilst sitting, that tends to feel more like a pricking pain when Im walking about. There is a slight tingle near my pubic bone too.

I also have back pain- its a dull ache as though somebody is pressing their foot down hard in the middle of my back.

I have been having plenty of BH this past week, but this time my belly feels constantly hard rather than it being infrequent. My pains are constant too, rather than feeling like contractions.

My DS was born at 29+5 (Im hoping this date isnt a bad omen! I had contractions at 25+6 with this pregnancy and given steriods and other drugs to stop the labour. I have since been treated in the same hospital as I thought my waters were leaking at 27+1.

I just wanted to know are such aches and pains part of the process, or is this something worth getting checked out? I always feel guilty thinking I am wasting their time as other than that I feel fine.

Your welcome

Have you rang the labour ward? i think you need to!

It could well just be BHs, but better be safe an all that.

Let us know how you get on.
