Hi
What does it feel like when the baby first kicks? Where do you feel it and at how many weeks? I'm 19 weeks and think i may just have felt my first kick - it was a couple of inches below my belly button but can't really describe what it was like!

Bubbles, fish, wiggling, all sorts of things.

Congratulations, it's lovely for the first few months. Then it can really wind you for the last two!

Was probably first kick. It is really hard to describe but kind of different to anything you've felt before. Sort of like small pops at first I thought.
How exciting! Enjoy.

Its hard not to get a wee bit anxious cos they are all so different for everyone! A good tip I got was 'have you ever felt this feeling before?' and if the answer is no then its prob baby. I personally think 'kick' is a misnomer as they can't just yet and its a feeling of some kind of displacement (of fluid maybe?) rather than a David Beckham boot...I guess that comes eventually! Mine feels like trapped nerve if anything (am 22 weeks and still a bit anxious that not felling more).

Congrats on feeling it though!!

oh, my first one was in the middle of the night, quite strong, so I even woke up! amazing... then nothing for a week or two, and I wondered did I just dream it? Now it is kicking left and right, it is the most beautiful moments, amazing how much love you can feel to a little one you have not even seen yet!
It feels like someone kicking you from inside
