Brown Discharge and Cramping

Help girls - I need your advice please!!!
I was diagnosed last year as peri-menopausal and have not had a period since March, ( I home pregancy tested myself many times up until July.) This week I have been having dark brown discharge and sore cramping in my lower abdomen fluctuating from middle to right hand side. The discharge is heavy one day and spots the next, then heavy again. Has been going on for 5 days. Could this mean I am maybe pregnant??? It would be a dream come true.....
I need advice please.

Is your AF late or due soon?

this is the time of month it would have been due, but not had one since March so unsure.... The discharge has stopped today but the cramping remains. Not very similar to what my pre-period feels like.

I would do a test. A lot of people have cramping and light discharge at the time their period is due when they are pregnant - Fingers crossed for you x

Fingers crossed for you that it is good news and this is just a bit of implantation bleeding. If the pregnancy test is positive you might be able to self refer to the local early pregnancy unit or your GP can do you a referral to get the reason for the bleeding checked out.

so i started spotting brown blood last weds and it stopped in a couple of hours...i was supposed to start my period on sat and it didnt come...then this morning i took a preg test and it said neg...when i got out of the shower the brown spotting started again and now its gone...any advice?

I had spotting and thought i was coming onto AF, only to test and it be negative. Tested again about a week later and it was positive though, and DD3 is nearly 2 now. Good luck.

So it is really common then. brown discharge stopped yesterday and cramping also stopped. Feel a bit sick today but think that is mostly in my imagination!! OH if only it could be positive - we have been trying for a long time. Scared to take test but can't concentrate on anything else! fingers crossed for you too Kristina. x

Oh I don't know how you can manage to wait. I'd have done a test so fast! I hope you get the result you want! x
