Am 19 weeks tomorrow and thought I'd have a bit of movement by now? Thought I felt something a few weeks ago but nothing since. Not my first DC so should remember but really can't! Scan is in 3 weeks but a bit worried whether everything is ok.

hi i am 19+2 and feel exactly the same! everyone tells me how they didn't feel movements til later but i wish mine would just start so I could feel reassured!

ring your doctors they can't shout at you and it could help to put your mind at rest.

Don't worry ladies, it can take a while to recognise movements with your first or if your placenta is attached to the front of your womb.

You'll start to feel movements in the next month

With my first I felt movement at 15 weeks and the mw didn't believe me. With this one I didn't feel anything until around 20 weeks due to the placement of the placenta.

At 29 weeks, I had a scare and had to be monitored. We could hear baby moving, see loads of movement on the trace but I didn't feel much at all.

thanks for that advice. ajm it isn't my first, its my 4th which was why I was a bit worried as I'm sure I felt the others much earlier. Maybe this one is lazier though? Didn't know that the placenta attached to the front could mean I wouldn't feel movements for a while. Feel much better now, thanks.

Hi, with my first baby I didn't feel anything much until around 24 weeks. Everything was fine, I'm just a bit insensitive and my placenta was on the front. I remember being worried though and asking a friend about it and she said she couldn't be sure of movement until 25 weeks. Sometimes it's hard to recognise. It's not like being hit with a showel, some of the movements are subtle!

I didn't feel anything much until 24+1 - but he hasn't stopped since! This is my first and am now 31+3.

I am 22 weeks and not feeling an awful lot yet - its my first so I don't know what I am looking for! Its frustrating as ple keep asking me am I feeling it....I have a really nice GP (luck as have horrid mw)and she has let me hear the hb with a doppler loads of times, which helps.

I didn't feel anything with DC1 or 2 till at least 23 weeks. Obstetrician said it might be because things are a bit lax in there the second time round (charming), but, to be honest, I think some people are just more "in tune" with the sensation than others. Try not to worry.

i'm 19 +2 and only feel stuff if i bend suddenly and the poor thing kicks out to get me to stand up and give him/her room! This is my second pregnancy, but my first was twins and i felt them before the 20w scan...i am assuming one with more room to move, i will feel later on.
