sorry this is not pretty but after first dismissing it, i'm a bit paranoid i may have had a show. i'm 35+5 and for the past two days have had a couple of instances of very thick mucus-like dishcarge. no blood. is this a show or the beginning of one?

yes, it could well be a bit of a show from the sounds of it but doesn't necessarily mean labour is imminent. i have had a few shows over the past couple of weeks, and am not due until end next week, hth to reassure you

I had this about four weeks ago, I'm now 39 weeks and still wondering if it was a show, but I'm definitely still pregnant!

thanks. i just spoke to mw on the phone and she said it was no big deal if there was no blood in it. i feel a bit sceptical about that but i sure as hell don't want to be in labour yet and i feel fine otherwise [ok, aside from freakish dreams of labour last night]
