When did you start buying baby things? What did you buy first?

I cant wait to start i am 11+2 weeks have my 12 week scan next tue. Me and dp are desperate to start buying baby things, but i just cant allow myself to get anything until i have seen everthing is ok with the scan i dont want to jinx us.
if everything is ok we are going to go baby shopping, is it too soon? When did you all start? what where the first things you bought? x

Thanks for all the great ideas! x I think i will prob buy a little outfit or something after my scan on tues just to make it feel real, but wait for a while until i buy anymore i desperatly would not want to have a house of baby things if anything goes wrong we have been trying for this baby for a long time and have had 2 heartbreaking mc along the way .

I have dds but its been a long time since i was pg (9yrs), i was a young 20yr old then also my mum basically (took over)said you need this, that and this and everything was sort of done by her. So i am(we both are this is our 3rd together) really looking forward to doing it all this time round now we are more mature and settled

Ps thats not a dig at my mother its that she was so very excited about being a grannie and i was young and didnt have a clue about much! lol
