I was sure my first baby was a boy because it seemed to practicing football inside me. However it turned out to be a girl. (Was absolutely shocked when she was born and they told me!)
This time around it is apparently going to be a boy, but is kicking far less than DD did.

CatIsSleepy · 29/09/2008 20:24

dd gave me a hell of a kicking
usually when i was eating or trying to get to sleep...

LittleHarrysMum · 29/09/2008 20:25

Well this baby is kicking the poop out of me everyb second of every day and it is a girl!

DS was far more gentle. Either that or I've blocked it from my memory (along with labour, sleepless nights...........)

My daughter used to kick so hard that she regularly kicked dh out of bed when I snuggled up behind him.

When I was pg with my boy/girl twins it was DD who was doing all the kicking (I used to worry that DS2 was not ok sometimes).

It is odd as she is so much smaller and less active than DS2 now and pretty much always has been since they were born.

DS1 kicked and kicked and kicked and has always been a lively lad on the outside too.

dd1 was a big thumper, still throws a great tantrum now, dd2 totally laid back.

Am 32 weeks pregnant with a girl and she knows how to use her feet!

buttercupbabe · 30/09/2008 09:00

dd definately kicked a lot more than ds. She's 1 week old today and it's funny to watch her kicking patterns now as they are the same as when she was in me.

EachPeachPearMum · 30/09/2008 20:27

DD was very big on kicking- it was utterly ridiculous. For the last few months I had to sit about 6" from my desk, so that she didn't bump me into it all the time.

This one's a DS, and he seems to be following the same pattern.

hotmama · 30/09/2008 20:33

I am nearly 29 weeks pregnant with ds1 - tbh he doesn't seem to kick that much - but enough for me to 'know' that he is O.K. (I assume).

I have 2dd's and boy did they kick me about a lot - and they both had really had loads of hiccups - and did when they were born.

Interesting to read that lots of others are feeling the difference between boys and girls - puts my mind at rest really as I was 'worrying' that ds1 didn't seem to kick too much!

Troutpout · 30/09/2008 20:36

Have one of each
dd was the bigger kicker..felt her first kick very early too
