any ideas on what to get him that's meaningful??? i realise i should get this sorted while i can! he's such a romantic and pulls out the bells and whistles on my birthday, mothers day, anniversarys etc so incase i get pnd or lose the plot for some reason i want to be on top of things!!

Hi sunshine - when is ds2 due? Our dc2 is due in December and dh will be 40 2 weeks before our due date so I won't feel like doing much on his actual birthday. I did treat him to a weekend in London though a few weeks ago as an early birthday present to make up for it. Can you do something now rather than leaving it until the day?

hi georgiepig, great idea to do something now! I am due end of 20 something nov (c-section) so still have time to suprise him, just with what now!

i asked him what he wanted last night and he said a ferrari, so unless i win the lottery maybe i'll take him out for a red letter day ferrari experience with ds...
