My period is now four days late and yesterday I did a clearblue single pregnancy test. When I took it out of the packaging there was already a horizontal line in the results window. I did it anyway and the line appeared in the control box as well so I assumed I'm not pregnant.
So, my question is, should there have already have been a line in the results window or should both windows be blank?
Was it a faulty kit?

Both windows should have been blank before you took the test. Get another quick

was it this test? Both windows should be clear. Maybe it was out of date or something? You need to test again.

isitfaulty · 29/09/2008 09:52

Yes, belgo it was! Spandex, the line was a double one and it just got darker when i peed on the stick. The control line appeared aswell though. I don't remember there being any lines with previous tests. Looks like I'm testing again.

test to be on the safe side I reckon - but i've had those before it's a vertical line you need to make a + with the line that's already there.

i had one with ds2 that came up as either a - or a + and had a funny line already on teh test(wasn't CB tho)

No, on CB there is a faint horizontal (-) line before you pee, which goes blue if you are not pregnant. If you are pregnant you also get a blue | line, which gives you a + for +VE
