Hi, I know this is really stupid and paranoid...

I had a hideous v early pregnancy with bleeding & pains, LOADS of sickness etc for the first trimester...

But my second trimester has been an absolute dream - no negative side-effects at all, no pain, & my baby is VERY active so lots of reassurance that he's OK...

But since the start of this week (27), he's gone really quiet on me - maybe only 2 or 3 kicks a day (more like flutters or rumbles actually), & can't get him to do it 'on command' lol by gently prodding or getting into a position he always used to kick in. Added to this, I've got quite strong aches all down my left side, espec in the ovaries-type area...kind of like a dull periody ache. No bleeding or weird discharge...but it's still scaring me, espec as I've been cleared 'fit to fly' after my good track record & am going abroad to visit my Dad on TUesday!!!

My GPs is closed till Mon and I'd have to cram in an appointment before dashing to the airport...& chances of seeing a midwife before I go at this short notice is slim to non.

Am I just being stupid or should I be really worried??? I cn't stand the thought of anything being wrong!! I'm worried I've been doing too much excercise/ lifting too much at work/ getting too stressed over issues with my ex etc....

argh! xxxxxxxxx

My MW's mobile goes through to the another MW or the local maternity unit if she is not available. Or ring your local maternity unit - they may ask you to go in to be monitored. There's no point worrying over the weekend.

thank you...yeah, i'll ring the maternity unit now as my midwife seems impossible to get hold of

If I were you mybumpsaboy - go call your hospital. I had some problems on Thursday (put a post up just now about it) I too have been doing gym, stressing over work and worrying about my partner etc.
Am now resting - 26 weeks now- and going to take a gym holiday, have decided the worry is not worth it. You only have 13 more weeks, enjoy!
Hope you are okay. xxx
