shooting pains in my legs

Hello,

Il be 39 weeks tomorrow but for the past couple of weeks on and off ive been getting what feels like a pushing sensation 'down there' then almost crippling pains down my left leg. This has been happening alot the past few hours.

Anyone no what it could be....?

This sounds a bit like sciatica, which I had during the later part of pregnancy. However, phone your midwife and ask her, she will know better than me.
