I'm almost 39 weeks and I keep finding myself spending the day washing up, doing laundry and really boring things. Everyone says I should be doing fun things...would love to know what everyone got up to at this last stage...

I ironed. Everything. And when I'd finished ironing everything I started taking thing out of the cupboards to re-iron them. I took down the curtains and ironed them too.

Had huge clean out of kitchen and wardrobe - v cathartic. Also had lots of pregnancy massages, went to yoga, took long walks in the park and met with friends for lunch - was bliss.....

agree with all of the above.... beauty treatments big thumbs up! really pamper yourself. indulge in lovely food... don't go out exhausting yourself...

basically enjoy the calm before life as you know it changes forever!

maybe start a journal documenting your feelings and carry on after the birth if you have the energy.....

good luck!

I am 38 weeks and loving every minute of my maternity leave! I have a big stack of books and DVDs, have been for massages, had long hot baths, pottered around the house clearing out old crap (when I can be bothered), napped, met friends for lunch (listened sympathetically to their work-related tales of woe, secretly delighted that I don't have to deal with that sort of thing for 9 whole months!), browsed MN, done a big online grocery shop to get the freezer stocked up and - most importantly - eaten loads of cake! Brilliant
