c section q - sorry if this has been asked before but

how long do I have to wait after a c section to start trying for another baby. My DS is 8 months old................the hospital said 2 years before another birth but I have heard different things from different people and wanted to know what others have been told ?

I'm in Germany - they've told me 1 year before getting pregnant again, otherwise the current stitches may rupture (barf). I'm happy with that as I've not got the energy for another child (No.3) yet!!!
