Maternity tights - NOT black. Anyone seen any?

I need a pair of brown maternity tights. Everywhere I've looked so far seems to have only black. (Actually this seems to be true of most maternity clothes - who decreed we could only wear black or denim??)

Anyway, anyone know where I can find non-black maternity tights?

Thanks!

mytights.com - I've just got a grey (well 'anthracite') pair, and I'm sure they had brown too. They also have quite a range of hold ups, if you like them.

And like you I'm unimpressed about the amount of black maternity clothes

www.pebbleuk.com/acatalog/ladies_range.html if you need support tights check these out. They are pricey but really good

I bought some in H&M, really cheap. Not sure if they had brown but I bought blue and green.

I have to say I'm not impressed with maternity wear myself! Either super formal or hippy casual. And all BLACK or denim. Who appointed 12-year old fashion NVQ grads to design this stuff? there's a 4 week wait on the brown tights from mytights.com. Way-hay...

Wisknit · 03/10/2008 09:22

mothercare have blue and I think brown

dan39 · 05/10/2008 19:41

Mothercare have blue and pink, and black that are patterened so slightly more interesting that the plain black ones.

And for the record I LOVE the black maternity clothes!! With a carf or a big necklace I feel very cool and sophisticated!!

Forensica · 05/10/2008 19:49

Yep, H&M has brown, I saw some today .

downbutnotout · 05/10/2008 22:31

Mothercare definitely have brown (and also blue and grey). Was in there today stocking up (pardon the pun).

GinaTonic · 05/10/2008 23:16

Yeah, black tops as far as the eye can see, then try finding a maternity bra that's not virginal white to go underneath, GRR!

Eleene · 20/10/2008 22:12

Try online for brown maternity tights at Bumps Maternity Wear

pluto · 20/10/2008 23:14

I bought a thick patterned woolly grey pair from H&M yesterday. They are really warm and comfy. Worth a tenner - just about.

Masalamama · 30/10/2008 10:41

I bought the brown 60 denier ones from Transparenze. Most certainly not worth the £10 I paid. They ripped by the third wear! Black it is then...

anna555 · 17/06/2009 11:02

Try itsocks.co.uk. Great quality tights and many different colours available like Beige, Tan, Amber, Mocca and cheap too from £3.85

jemmc · 26/10/2009 10:09

Newlook just got some maternity tights in, they have black, brown and shocking pink.2 pairs of 40 denier for £8, I am wearing my black pair today and they are very soft and supportive in a lovely matt black, probably better quality than the 1 pair a paid £9 for at Blooming Marvellous, (blooming expensive more like!)

stellamel · 26/10/2009 14:39

I am 31 weeks and size of barrage balloon! All I do is buy the XL tights from M&S normal range. Got some lovely stripy ones, and coloured opaques, really comfy. My proper maternity ones from Next constantly need hitching up!

VanillaIce · 26/10/2009 15:01

JoJo Maman Bebe, £8. They come in 4 colours, including chocolate. Plus free delivery and extra discounts available if you look on the "Codes and Vouchers" thread on MN.

tethersend · 26/10/2009 15:06

Mothercare ones are good- here

gizzy1973 · 26/10/2009 15:16

I got some extra large tights and they are so uncomfortable think i will stick to trousers or leggings from now on

VanillaIce · 26/10/2009 15:39

Actually, I have to agree - tights are the last thing I want to wear in pregnancy, I don't like my bump feeling trapped. I've been wearing opaque hold-ups instead, they're great.

Dotty38 · 26/10/2009 20:28

Buy normal ones and cut them at the top and then they sit under the bump. I did that it worked brilliantly.
