When does third trimester start?

Is it 24 weeks or 28 or somewhere in between? I've started getting heartburn already! x

AFAIK its 27 weeks

I would say it is 25 weeks. There are 12 weeks in the 1st trimester, 13 in the 2nd and 14+ in the 3rd.

Used to be 28, however as viability improves for babies, the acknowledged date for this seems to as well. I've read anything from 24 weeks onwards, but totally agree - I'm 25+4 and feeling the burning pain of heartburn, leg cramps, tiredness and the rest of it. It certainly feels like the third trimester !

I've just looked at NHS direct and it says 25 weeks but like Abbymeg I am getting craps and heartburn - baby has also been moving constantly this morning!
