i don't really know if anyone can help but was just wondering if anyone has any experience or thoughts on my situation. i just got diagnosed with gestational diabetes which was a real surprise as i didn't have any of the risk factors except for the fact that i'm 36. i've also been diagnosed with mild hypertension and may need to go on meds if it doesn't improve. i've always been pretty healthy so this has really thrown me.

my very nice gp rather gently threatened hospitalisation as a means of getting me to relax, which has really freaked me out because i have a toddler to look after.

has anyone had these twin problems before? what can i expect? am i screwed? any thoughts appreciated.
