Im 39 weeks pg and the baby is roughly about 8lb 3oz (scan measurement).......how much weight from now the baby will put on???

I think I heard 8oz a week, Biglips but I'm not an authority!

Not sure how accurate the scan weight will be...

i hope its not 8oz a WEEK!

But have also heard that growth slows towards the end so try not to worry too much!

I was told at 34 week scan that this one weighed 6lb 5oz! Am now 38+2 and hoping he will hurry up!!

I wouldn't take too much notice of these things...they can't really tell anyway.
I was told ds2 would be roughly the same weight as DS1 (8lb 6oz) turned out he was 10lb!

I had a scan at about 37 weeks with dd3 and was told she was already 7 1/2 pounds. I was induced at nearly 38 weeks and she was 5 pounds 12 ounces. The scans aren't always reliable.

i was told from a scan that DS3 weighed 8lb odd at 38 weeks, he was born the 2 days later and was 6lb 11oz

Don't they usually do the scan at this stage from the size of the head? Maybe you'll just have a baby with a big head?

it wont get much bigger if it is that big
