I'm 35 weeks now, and this baby has been in basically the same position for months now - sort of diagonally with head in LHS of pelvis and feet RHS of ribs. I can tell by the kicks and every time a midwife has examined me they've said that's where they are.
There's plenty of movement, just all in the same two places. With DS it was all over the place until he settled around this sort of stage. Apart from the fact I'm getting very bruised and sore under my right ribs because they get all the pounding, I'm a bit worried that for some reason they're not going to shift in labour.
I had an extremely slow labour with DS, which led to nasty complications because I got so tired, and the main reason it was slow seems to be that he wasn't positioned quite right - he was head down and back-to-front but slightly squiffy. I'm worried that something about where the placenta is, or the shape of my uterus, means that this one isn't going to turn into the optimal position either.
Anyone else had a baby that stayed in the same (sub-optimal) position? Did it shift for labour?
