Confused about which cloth nappies to buy: any suggestions?

So many different kinds - pre-fold, shaped, all-in-ones - it's a minefield. I'm keen to try out reusable nappies, but I don't really know where to start. Any advice much appreciated?

I posted a very similar question a few months ago and eventually took someones advice and contacted nappy mania (www.nappymania.com) There is lots of advice on the website and I also emailed them and they were very helpful. I ended up buying Bamboozles, rikki wraps and fleece liners. I did get a bumgenious and a diddy diaper to have a look at too but in the end we decided the bamboozle was more economical/user friendly for us and baby.

I can't comment on whether we utimately made the right decision however as baby has not yet arrived !

I am on 3rd child now with reusables, and now much more confident than ever before. I think part of the decision is about what shape baby you have - fat or thin legs fat or thin tummy.... different people have different preferences.

I have used a mixture, currently using bambino mio nappies with the smart nappy covers from mothercare. I found the all in ones ok but they take ages to dry. But I would agree 100% on the fleece liners, they are great as an alternative to the disposable ones.

Hope you get loads of advice on the nappies pages too.

Also meant to say that for the first time this time have used the old fashioned terries squares with nippers and a plastic cover, these have worked brilliantly, and much faster drying too.
