did anyone 'know' they were pregnant before they missed their first peiod?

If so, how did you know? What symptoms did you get (if any)

just knew. also knew that one had died as was waiting for 12 week scan and told my sister not to get excited as it had died. i was right, it was a mm/c.
with this current preg i said to dp at the time that if i was not preggers i would be surprised as we were at it all weekend which was my fertile weekend. damm these regular as clockwork cycles!

I definitely knew. I remember having to support my boobs with my hands as I went down the stairs.

Might just be because I was expecting it because I was trying, but every time I've been pregnant has been the month I've taken the test - and always before the period was due. I never tested the months I was trying and didn't conceive.

My first sign of pregnancy was going totally off sex (despite usually being quite enthusiastic )

So with ds2 I knew I was pg about a week before my period was due! Weird...

I knew. Both times. I didn't have any symptoms - it was before the vomiting started . I just felt pregnant. I found myself thinking about being pregnant all the time. First time I knew so early that I had almost the full nine months to wait!! It was torture!

Second time I was in the street and suddenly thought "I'm pregnant" I did a test and it was negative, but I still kept obsessing with the pregnancy thoughts and then I started being sick, but I left it, thinking it might be a bug, and telling myself I'd had a neg test..but eventually I did another and yup, there it was . I remember thinking to myself "I knew it" When I went for the scan I was 4 months!

I think both times the thoughts started within a week of conceiving. maybe less.

I didn't guess the first time (unplanned pg), but looking back there were signs.

Second time my nipps felt sensitive and I had a 'turn' in Waitrose.

I suspected I was with ds from about 5 days before AF due, cried at silly things a few times and had extra tender breasts.

Hanaflower - Can I just ask about the temping? I'm temping in preparation for ttc in Jan. Is your temp supposed to stay in the higher range until your AF finishes and then go down again or would it usually dip just before AF starts?

Both times I felt like my periods were starting and then they didn't. This went on for 3-4 days till it dawned on me that it must be something else so I went and got a pregnancy kit and tested posituve. (The second time the penny dropped a bit sooner)

First time my nipples changed colour - wierd.

I have Type 1 diabetes, for me it acts as an early warning system as my blood sugar levels go screwy and I have to increase my insulin by about 50% pretty much as soon as I conceive. The actually pregnancy test confirms what I already know....

had to stop excercising because of complete energy drop. was nearly sick when i ate a piece of lettuce. just knew!

I did. I knew. It was just a feeling that something was different.

I knew about 4 days before my period was due. Felt tired and sluggish. And my stomach was swollen and it felt weird (like all the blood from other parts of my body had gone into my stomach). Also went off alcohol.

I didn't realise the first time until my sense of smell went haywire and I realised it was over 6 weeks since LMP start. I'm a bit irregular with longish cycles. Second time I knew, I was very tired but was thinking well maybe it's just ds, who had just turned 1. My first test was negative but 2nd one positive, but first scan gave me an EDD which is 13 days after LMP date, which means I was only 3 weeks pregnant when I thought I might be first.

tryingtoleave - mine were exactly the same. i knew, as my nipples went darker / larger and i got the raised spots on them too. plus my sense of taste was weird. still went into a state of very happy shock when the test came back positive though!
