I have bought a silver cross baby carrier and am wondering whether a permanent base in the car would be a good idea, but im not sure if you can get one or if they fit into the ones you can get in mothercare/Halfords etc - any ideas?

If its the Silver Cross Ventura car seat I don't think you can get a base for it yet. I looked at the SC car seat a couple of months ago and the lady in John Lewis said that Silver Cross were going to release a permanent base like the Isofix but they hadnt as yet, not sure about an eta on that. I went for a maxicosi in the end, brought gorgeous baby boy home from hospital in it last weekend and he looked very comfortable, didnt get a peep out of him the whole way home

Nope! I have this car seat and its great for dd she seems very comfy in it. It is quite easy to put in the car and you get very quick at it!!

Ps the new born support is great. We took it out yesterday as dd seemed a bit big for it - She is 12 weeks old!
