Itchy patch on boob!

Hi everyone, thought maybe someone would have some good advice on how to relieve this!

On one of my boobs, I have a red REALLY itchy patch. Of course, I cant scratch it without looking quite feral

I figure this is just another symptom....any thoughts

Cold flannel?

Depends where and what it is... if bacterial buy Canesten or equivalent (thrush cream - usually if under boob) or get some sudocreme for otherwise general itching

It is on the side, near where the top of my underwire is (unforch am 32FF so not having underwire is really out of the question...)

Oh... poor you - I am in the region of a 34/36 J and my underwires kill me... defo try sudocreme... or surgical spirit will harden the skin and stop the chafing Hope it feels better soon.

Do you feel fluey or run down (more than usual pg)?
How far into pg are you?
Does your bra fit well with room for your boobs to expand?

It is possible to get mastitis antenatally if you have other symptoms and you would probably need treatment from a GP since you can't feed.

On the other hand it could just be your milk factory in overdrive setting itself up with all the internal piping growing and expanding and therefore nothing to worry about.

If you do get mastitis, I would really recommend speaking to a bf counsellor as well as a GP.

My experience is that when this happens it is due to a badly fitting bra. It all gets a bit difficult/hazy when the sizes are changing and large . I recommend a trip to Bravissimo!

or maybe a cotton bra?

i got this too, still do, have strong moisturising cream from doctor, but while pregnant had Nystatin, a form of thrush it must have been. you could get it checked out

thanks ladies. I am 21 weeks preg with no 1 and feel absolutely fine so not very worried. Guess I need to get my self back to the big boob shop!

I had horrifically itchy patches when pg and breastfeeding
Get it sorted NOW as takes ages to clear and cannot use topical creams when feeding
I ended up with SIX patches and scratched caverns into my boobs
Still have scars.
Do get it treated

I had really itchy boobs for a while (but then again I balooned from 32B to 36D). I started using Lansinoh and that cleared it right up. It's my first so wasn't sure what was causing it but reckon it was stretching skin. Good luck
